Christ’s Way Remains the Only True Path to God

The Gospel to the Ends of the Earth
The Spread of the Gospel
The gospel has spread from Jerusalem to the farthest corners of the earth. It did not advance through violence or coercion, but through the faithful witness of believers. Evangelists shared the message by serving others, living out the love of Christ, and speaking the truth with humility. The message continues to spread because the Holy Spirit guides and helps believers as they share the good news of Jesus Christ.
A Call to Be Ready
As written in First Epistle of Peter 3:15:
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.”
Every believer is called to be prepared to explain the hope they have, doing so with gentleness and reverence.
A Modern Pursuit of Immortality
Recently, I heard about a company in Arizona that offers a service to preserve the bodies of deceased individuals. Their goal is to maintain these bodies with the hope of reviving them when future technology becomes capable. Over a hundred people have already signed up. Are people afraid of dying, or do they simply desire to live forever? Perhaps both are true. Yet one truth remains certain: only Jesus can resurrect the dead and grant eternal life. No company or technological advancement can accomplish this.
The Exclusive Claim of Christ
In Gospel of John 14:6, Jesus declares:
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
The only hope for eternal life is found in Him.
Lessons from Ancient Egypt
This is not the first time humanity has sought to overcome death through its own efforts. Even the ancient Egyptians believed they could secure life after death by preserving their bodies in elaborate coffins and tombs. Yet their remains have decayed, and no one has returned to life through such means. History itself bears witness to the futility of these attempts.
False Confidence in Human Effort
Sinful desires can lead people to believe they can achieve immortality by their own strength. Many place their confidence in myths, rituals, or technology rather than in God. But human effort, no matter how advanced, cannot conquer death.
The Resurrection of Jesus
Jesus rose on the third day, and hundreds of witnesses saw the risen Savior. His resurrection stands apart from all human attempts at immortality. It is not myth or speculation but the foundation of Christian faith.
The Failure of Human Systems
This teaches a significant lesson. Humanity has failed in its own efforts, whether through religious ritual or scientific progress. There is no true hope for eternal life in these systems.
A Warning of Judgment
Scripture also warns of coming judgment. In Second Epistle to the Thessalonians 1:7–9 (KJV):
“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,
In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:
Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power.”
One day, God’s wrath will be poured out, and judgment will come upon the wicked.
The True Hope of Eternal Life
Only those who have faith in Christ will be saved and enjoy eternal life with the true and living God. The world has deceived many into believing in a false hope without evidence, and countless people accept it without question. Yet God has revealed His Word through the Bible and has testified to the coming of the Messiah through the prophets across generations.
Turning from Darkness to Light
Another reason people seek immortality is that they are reluctant to leave behind this dark and sinful world. But the only true escape from sin and death is found in Jesus Christ. Turn to Him in repentance. Accept Him as Savior and Lord. Jesus offers the free gift of eternal life. Do not resist the Holy Spirit. Do not reject the grace that is freely given. In Him alone is life everlasting.
